The Institute is suitable for both local and North West Region delegates because of its excellent transport links, being located 5 miles on A683 from Lancaster city centre with its main line rail station, and only 2 miles from Junction 34 of the M6.
Operating as a charity, the Institute has used grant funding to provide professional standard facilities whilst keeping room hire rates at a very competitive level. There are no hidden extras. The prices quoted include, as standard, use of digital overhead projector, projector screens, internet connectivity, and flip chart.

There are three meeting rooms for hire, each with natural daylight and black out facilities. Choose from the Main Hall, Victoria Room, and the Sir Thomas Storey Room. (See Room Details for sizes and features). In addition, we have a fully equipped IT Resource Centre suitable for IT and computer based training.
Up to 180 people can be safely seated on comfortable chairs set out for a show, and up to 100 people seated for a meal. The hall has a superb dual function sprung floor to suit dancers (who want a slippery floor) and badminton players (who don’t) equally well.

The Sir Thomas Storey Room can seat up to 50 people for theatre style presentations, and the flooring makes the space suitable for a range of activities such as exercise classes or craft sessions. A slide projector or video projector are available for illustrated talks.

Seats up to 20 in meeting configuration. Wall mounted drop down screen, Internet connectivity, Digital overhead projector, Sound around system and CD/DVD player, Flip chart, Kitchenette area, Black out blinds on all windows.

All rooms are easily accessible by wheelchair users, and there is a disabled toilet facility. The two meeting rooms and main Hall are fitted with an induction loop.

For events needing a buffet lunch or something more substantial, the Institute offers a choice of food from local caterers at very reasonable prices. Refreshments can be supplied on request, or groups can ‘self cater’ should that be the preference.
There is free parking within easy walking distance of the Institute, and dedicated space for celebration and conference parking can be arranged on request.
